THE MOST TALENTED GET A PROFESSIONAL BALLET EDUCATION, LEAD BY PHILLIP BOYD AND PHYLLIS SPIRA. THE MOTIVATION OF THE DANCERS TO ENDURE THE TOUGH AND DEMANDING TRAINING ARE THEIR DREAMS OF INDEPENDENCE AND THE BIG WIDE WORLD. THE FILM FOLLOWS THREE DANCERS ON THEIR WAY TOWARDS PROFESSIONALISM.
