- Synopsis
- Confined to a wheelchair but driven by a keen intellect and a natural taste for math and science, Philip McCallister is building a pair of bionic legs to restore his ability to walk. His older brother Hunter shares the old family property with him and is the local law in the small town of Mendocino, a place so boring and unassuming that Hunter has never even carried a gun.
  
  After a series of animals go missing and a butchered whale washes up ashore, the brothers find themselves in a life or death struggle against a growing army of horseshoe crabs with a taste for human blood. All roads lead our heroes to the High School prom - Philip as an attendant and Hunter as a chaperone - as the violent horde crashes the party and Philip steps up for a final fight with the leader of the amassing beasts.
