    • Synopsis
    • ‘Coupe’ is a 75 min. feature-lengths documentary showcasing a new post-modern and post-punk approach to African music; Springing from Ivory-Coast via Paris then back to Ivory-Coast, before taking over the globe.
The movement itself is not without controversies, drawing a wide cultural bridge in Ivory-Coast & african society, pitting 'Old' culture vs 'New', pitting its hedonistic & jubilant lifestyle against a war-torn backdrop, pitting the Ivory Coast diaspora vs the locals who stayed at home...
Our film, will demonstrate how an invisible bridge was thrown between Africa and Europe, between the locals and their distant Diaspora spread all over the globe, and how we should all follow that path, and get on that cultural bridge, despite the conflicts, despite the controversies ...
