This ninety-minute-long movie is a dramatic comedy set between the cities of Genoa and Salvador da Bahia. The protagonist Marco Parodi, played by actor Francesco Morotti, is a young low-class Italian. Marco lives with his parents and his sister in a little apartment in Old Genoa. Tension rises when his grandmother moves in because she can no longer afford to pay rent. Struggling with the phase and the continuous family arguments Marco decides to travel to Salvador, Brazil. In the capital city he meets Neca (Leandro Rocha), a bohemian baiano who he makes friends with, and Mariana (Laise Leal). Neca introduces Marco a Salvador which is a distant reality from the one shown on postcards. Mariana is a young woman who is ashamed with the city she lives in and dreams about living in Italy. Marco falls in love with her and tries to show her the city’s beauties seen from the eyes of a foreigner, living a cultural exchange that will sign him for the rest of his life.
