    • Synopsis
    • After years of violence, hunger and disease Venezuela has found a leader who has managed to unite the people with a vision and a plan. But to achieve the reconstruction of a country in ruins, this new guide will have to overcome powerful enemies inside and
      outside the country.

In January 2019 Juan Guaidó became the most audacious politician on the international stage, getting the support of his people and most of the international community. But this young David is still facing the oppressive force of the corrupt and criminal regime.

From the bowels of a torn country to the corridors of power in South America, the United States and Europe, men and women of conscience come together in a common mission: to change the dictatorship that has caused the most serious humanitarian crisis in the hemisphere and so allow the passage to a democratic and just government.

Faced with them are not only the followers of the regime, but politicians in other countries who for ideological reasons deny the failure of the "Bolivarian revolution" and support the continuation of the dictatorship.

This has created a clandestine conflict with a circle of spies and conspirators, from both sides, which extends from Havana to Madrid passing through Bogota, Brasilia, Miami, Washington, Moscow, Ankara, Teheran and Beijing.

The gigantic task to which Juan Guaidó has committed has made him a target of the regime that constantly threatens him with murder and imprisonment. But this young man has a mission: the elimination of the dictatorship and so begin the healing of a country in ruins.

We have the privilege of being in intimate contact with the main protagonists of this tragic feat, with whom we'll be able document the tortuous journey towards freedom.

Our documentary aims to help the viewer understand how what was once the most prosperous country in South America and welcomed millions of immigrants has become a miserable place from which millions have been forced to flee.

From the hallways in which the destiny of a nation is decided, our film will trace the trajectory of the fighters in which the last hopes for change are placed.

Through their stories we will understand why Venezuela is in a desperate situation, what can be done to achieve radical transformation needed and what should be done once the change is achieved.

The struggle to establish of democracy in Venezuela will unfold as an immense battlefield in the weeks and months to come.

Our ambition is to capture in the most objective way possible the first chapter of this moving, dramatic, epic story.

Although the conclusion of this tragedy is still uncertain, we know that the intensification of conflicts will inevitably lead to a long and convulsive struggle.

Combining personal stories with archival images our story is filled with fascinating characters, devastating revelations and unpredictable changes of fortune.
