- Synopsis
- In Santo Domingo, President Rafael Trujillo orders “El Corte: Expel all Haitians on the Dominican side of the island or cut their throats if they resist”. Maria a country black woman, returns home alarmed, and with her family of five, flees to the border.
  On the way, they are intercepted by Trujillo’s men who massacre the family, leaving behind’ only a six-months old baby.
  A farmer rescues the boy and gives him to a white couple, who baptizes him as José Francisco.....
