    • Synopsis
    • Dev, a self proclaimed Sannyasi shuns the world even as (he thinks) the world shuns him. Dev is a thirty-something man with extraordinary potential who has thrown everything away to live in the haze and daze of aimlessly packaging coffee in the family store, visiting a mistress Alagu who is also his platonic best friend and drowning himself in a medley of Pravachans (spiritual discourses) justifying to himself his lack of ambition. All the while, the sole breadwinner of the house, his mother, at the end of her tether.
To avoid stepping out of the house and earning a living, Dev has sold off the defining legacy of his family - Biddanda, a 20 acre coffee plantation and their ancestral home in Coorg, without even asking his mother. Her only hope for her son's future now lies in the hands of strangers. Or so it seems.
After a bitter argument with his mother one night where she questions his worthiness as a son to even scatter her ashes, Dev returns in the morning to find his mother dead. Dev is unable to scatter her ashes. Vowing to prove himself worthy of her before doing the final rites, Dev sets off to Coorg, a paradisiacal haven of green lands, winding roads,  babbling brooks and all-pervading coffee estates, where he grew up and learnt everything about the plant of GODS - Coffee.
Still reeling from his mother's death, Dev runs into first love Anika, who happens to be the wife of Srinivas, the current owner of Biddanda estate, It is bloom season at Biddanda and Srinivas' heavy investments depend on a good bloom this season. Knowing Dev to be a coffee expert via Anika, Srinivas offers him a job as supervisor of the plantation until bloom day in exchange for sourcing coffee beans dirt cheap to Dev. Dev has to agree and it is his job to avoid the dreaded Pink Bloom, the destroyer of many a budding coffee bean. The ashes are still waiting to be released.
Dev and Anika share a turbulent past and they are thrown in each other's path again and again, rekindling the magic of their chemistry. They kiss. Believing her to be his destiny, Dev begins to dream again. Anika being a married woman, sensing trouble, avoids and thwarts Dev just when he was regaining his old self.
Meanwhile the pink bloom beckons and the ashes still wait...
Anika and Srinivas have a choice to make.  And as it happens, so does Dev.
