    • Synopsis
    • In August of 1985, the propaganda extravaganza in calisthenics, called Spartakiáda, had just ended
in Prague, the farm collectives were harvesting wheat day and night and one Czech citizen attempted
to go on a vacation by car. His travels around the country turned into a massive police exercise. Twice
he was arrested; there were house searches everywhere he visited; he was tailed by over 300
plainclothesmen, with the most dilligent State Security agent nearly drowning to discharge his duties.
Whenever the citizen got lost, however, he would simply ask his surveillance team where to go next.
The StB knew his itenerary from reading his mail and tapping his phone. The documentary recreates
this memorable vacation with Václav Havel, his hosts and his police minder.
