    • Synopsis
    • The story takes place in the central area of Asuncion, the capital city of Paraguay. J.D. Flitner, a young american marijuana grower and importer arrives in Asuncion. His search for adventure and desire to start a new life motivate him to buy a large plot of land in rural Paraguay. These plots of land are being sold by El Brasiguayo, a powerful mafia man involved in various cover businesses.
Gatillo, The Brasiguayos representative in Asuncion, arranges to meet J.D. Flitner in an art gallery in the evening of the day of his arrival. The gallery serves as a front for Giuliani, an argentine involved in counterfeit money production. After closing the deal with the land purchase, J.D. Flitner meets a young woman working as a hostess at the gallery and they leave together to see the city. From J.D.'s perspective its a night of good fortune, being a night where cicada larva, after having lived for years underground, begin to crawl up trees, leave behind their skin and transform into adult insects. Its a night of abundance.
Everyone would have come out winning with the deal. Even El Chino, Duarte, Torito y Rodrigo, some of the Brasiguayos other men, made an arrangement to share some of the commission in exchange for protection of Flitners new business. Gatillo however has other plans and plots a major scheme to switch the real money for counterfeit bills. Gatillo planned to tell the mafia boss that JD was a scammer. If Gatillos scheme worked, it would launch him out of his servile position and into that of a millionaire don.
Upon discovering the scam, The Brasiguayo sends his men to look for the American and remedy the situation. A race against time begins as Gatillo, El Chino and Duarte try to find him before Rodrigo and Torito.
