- Synopsis
- Tacuabé is an epic story, which deals with politics and ethics through the sense of justice by own hand, the reasoning between good and evil. It raises the issue of revenge and how revenge turns into forgiveness. The adventure of the last charrúa also passes through reflection on the past, study, pleasures and love.
  
  As of the Salsipuedes massacre, on April 11, 1831, perpetuated by President Rivera, the hero of our history is expelled from his own country and exiled in France. There after being released he will take on a new identity and return to his homeland to take revenge on him.
  
  Laureano Tacuabé is the youngest of the four Charruas prisoners. Besides being a great baqueano and a good horseman, Tacuabé is a sensitive and playful artist. Above all, he is a charrúa warrior. Before being betrayed by Rivera, he was his baqueano and for him he fought in battles against the foreigner usurping his lands.
  
  Rivera is the first constitutional president of Uruguay. After Salsipuedes, he spares Tacuabé's life, but makes him disappear like the entire indigenous ethnic group. Which is indomitable and collides with their economic and political interests.
  
  Tacuabé feels that not only has his land been stolen from him, but also his culture, family and friends. They have demoted him to the level of human misery, but he manages to survive. Freemasonry will play a key role in his life, rescuing him and transforming him into a civilized, educated being. When he returns to Uruguay, he will no longer be the same. He knows that there is no return that closes the gap opened by exile. His thirst for revenge drives and guides him in his life to find Rivera and kill him.
