    • Synopsis
    • AMELIA, a young woman with post-partum depression, grabs a suitcase one night and leaves her husband and her four-month old son behind in their cosy home in a bourgeois neighbourhood in Barcelona. She crosses the French border and on a train bound for Bordeaux overhears a conversation that ERIC, a young French guy, has with his girlfriend on his mobile phone. Intrigued by the lies he tells her, Amelia decides to follow Eric through the streets of Bordeaux.
To her surprise, she discovers that Eric is not cheating on his girlfriend but rather hiding from her the fact that he has terminal cancer (he has gone to a prestigious cancer hospital in Bordeaux).
When she sees Eric leaning too dangerously out of the Stone Bridge, she, on an impulse, decides to strike a conversation with him. Determined not to leave him alone at any rate, Amelia, despite Eric’s huskiness, tries to talk him into having a drink with her, but he’s very reluctant.
Eventually, disarmed by Amelia’s warmhearted persistence and intriguing lies (she tells him that she has runaway from her wedding), Eric agrees to share some time with her while walking around the streets of the city.
They both find that they are very comfortable together and an unexpected and irresistible bond grows between these two strangers as they spend a whole day strolling around the city, opening their hearts to each other. Their vulnerability and the explosive cocktail of intense feelings that they share make them question the foundations of their lives and turn this walk around this fortuitous city into an emotional journey of no return.
