    • Synopsis
    • Legend has it that the vast treasure of an ancient pirate queen is buried on the remote Irish island of Clare, hidden for centuries.
Owen, the cantankerous old lighthouse keeper, is convinced that it’s buried under his lighthouse and he’s been obsessively digging for it for years, but when he learns that the island is about to get a new automated lighthouse, he realizes that he faces retirement and imminent eviction. Out of time, he knows that he’ll never complete the dig alone and there’s only one person he can ask for help. His brother Patrick, recently returned to the island after years away, could be Owen’s last hope. The only problem is that they’ve not spoken in 35 years since Patrick ran away to America with Owen’s fiancée.
When a sceptical Patrick agrees to help with the dig, the two struggle to overcome their rift and rediscover their brotherhood, whilst frantically digging for the gold. Despite his constant obsession with the search, Owen cannot help but become drawn to the beautiful Ellen, an enchanting new arrival on the island and a descendant of the pirate queen.
When their newly dug tunnel collapses, any hope of reaching the treasure gets buried amongst the rubble. Patrick persuades Owen that the only way he'll reach the treasure in time is to rip the heart out of his beloved lighthouse and use its drive mechanism as a huge drill.
With their crazy contraption burrowing into the rock, they reconnect in one last youthful adventure and it looks like they might just pull it off. However, as they get ever closer to breaking through, they uncover clues and riddles which suggest that the treasure may not be buried under them at all and that Ellen may unknowingly hold the final piece of the puzzle.
