    • Synopsis
    • Claudio is an insurance expert in Montevideo, where a successful case has earned him the promotion to manager of a rural area near the border. During the first night in the quiet but strange town, Claudio is awakened because a car has been set on fire. There he learns that several cars are on fire and is pressured by their owners to pay for the policies while, at the distance, his boss demands that he delays the procedures as much as possible. In addition, Claudio is involved in a competition between the Commissioner and Mendizabal, the landowner of the place, regarding Mirta, the sensual hairdresser of the town. In the following nights, more cars are burned and Claudio establishes a relationship with Servetto, the mysterious expert from the rival company, who brings him up to date on the Broken Glass Theory, a study of social psychology carried out in the 1950s, which shows that, by breaking the glass of a car, it is unleashed that it be vandalized. Claimed everywhere, Claudio must decipher what happens in the town and explain the facts, showing that there are several people who took advantage of the situation, as it happens in the Broken Glass Theory .
