    • Synopsis
    • Nutsa and Goga are young couple with two kids. They would have ordinary family if not the fact that Goga is arrested. Nutsa, as all other women, has to get married to see him in prison. Marriage is held in one room, for all couples together, attended by guards and lasts for fifteen minutes.
This formal marriage enables them to see their husbands once in a month for one hour divided by window.
During their meetings they avoid talking about problems of reality they live in and they have to cope with in their everyday life. It’s not difficult for them to understand that life is not easy. In spite of living separately they become more close to each other.
Nutsa takes care of Goga, brings food for him in prison, does his laundry and visits him once in a month together with Goga’s mother and kids. Everyone forgets Goga, only wife and mother keep taking care of him. After some time even kids are annoyed by long distance travel and waiting for hours in frost or heat.
Once another man appears, asking to stay for a night. He stays bit longer. This time is enough for Nutsa to understand that she could betray Goga, but asks the man to leave. Goga notices changes in her. He gets upset that she hides something from him. Nutsa sees him only after several months when regulation is changed and couples are allowed to spend night with their husbands twice a year. Nutsa comes together with other women, dressed in colorful summer dresses. Husbands are hosting them.
Isolated from the rest of the world, closed in cage kind of cottages they understand that time spent separately somewhere disappears. They sit outside just talking and enjoying rain in hot Summer night.
In the morning when Brides have to leave Nutsa together with two others sit in the car. They see Ambulance leaving territory of prison. Three of them, terrified with the feeling that it can be their husband stay still stopped at the highway.
Marriage in prison followed by one day honeymoon after four years was not their dream but it became their reality.
What they both are afraid of is how they will live together after so many years being apart.
