BP Underground is a documentary series about several underground youth subcultures of Budapest, Hungary in the 90s and 2000s, right after the fall of the iron curtain. The underground scene of Budapest, and its musical subcultures are inherent parts of the vast Hungarian culture. The series deals with the community building aspects of these groups, and how they affected our society - and still do today. It explores how did Budapest itself contribute to this phenomenon. What kind of unwritten rules applied to these subcultural groups? What symbols and specific outfits? What were their very own venues, and main figures that these scenes were centred around? And what’s the personal story behind all this? The first episode about hardcore/punk is completed.
