    • Boys From County Hell is a horror film about Eugene Moffat, an awkward young man trapped in a small Irish backwater, working for his domineering father, Francie. Eugene is the foreman of a low rent contracting outfit building a road through a desolate wilderness known as County Hell - and not doing a very good job. The men don’t respect him, the job is behind schedule and the woman he secretly loves is leaving for Australia.
To make matters worse strange things are happening on the work site. A security guard has gone missing and dead animal carcasses are turning up. Eugene feels the strange occurrences are linked to his past and the mysterious disappearance of his mother 20 years ago - but the rest of the crew don’t share his suspicions. In fact, all they want is to get the job done as quickly as possible and get out for some Friday night pints.
But when Francie forces them to work overtime into the night it becomes apparent that Eugene’s fears are all too real. The missing security guard returns and with an animalistic ferocity he begins attacking the men. They have to use all their wits and resources (and heavy machinery) to try and bring down their old friend. But in the end the only thing that works is a wooden fence post through the heart that kills the security guard and causes him to burn away into the night air.
Eugene and the Boys now realise that the road they are building cuts straight through the domain of a pair of bloodthirsty, feral vampires and their mysterious human master, who will do anything to stop their home being destroyed. These vicious creatures now pose a threat to the very town that Eugene wishes to escape and it falls on him to reach inside and find the courage to go after them and save the town, save the girl, win his father’s respect and become his own man.
