    • Synopsis
    • The film Bitter Love is a love story. It tells the story of Wang Xiaohua (played by Wang Erni) who after losing her love becomes entrapped in misery. However, with the help of her friend Zhang Shanliang (Wang Dazhi), who has long admired her from afar, she finally recovers from her sadness. The movie sees Wang Xiaohua go on to sing songs to the young and old, showcasing songs from Shanxi’s traditional Qinqiang opera, reflecting on humanity and Western culture and folklore of China.
