    • December 3, 1928 with the laying of the foundation stone, they start the work of the Electric San Marino-Rimini Railway. They were employed 3000 workers (in 3 rounds of 1000) were created 17 galleries, built 3 bridges, 3 flyovers, 2 underpasses and 1 overpass throughout the territory of San Marino, as well as 180 smaller artifacts along the way San Marino-Rimini.
      At the time, the International Electric San Marino-Rimini Railway was considered a jewel of civil engineering.To travel throughout his career took 53 minutes.
      The railway line was built narrow gauge, 950 mm from the exercise fully activated electrically driven at 3000 volts DC.
      The life of the internatioal Railway was very short (12 years): was partly damaged by bombing in San Marino on 26th June 1944.
      The last trip was effected July 11, 1944 with a convoy (AB 04 AB 51 B-71) carrying refugees from Rimini to Serravalle. The tunnels were used as shelter during the war, where San Marino hosted over 100,000 refugees.
