    • Synopsis
    • ALL GOOD CHILDREN is based on the novel, JOHN DOLLAR by Marianne Wiggins -- who wrote the novel while in hiding with her then husband, Salmon Rushdie. The film is set in Burma after W.W.I. -- on the surface it deals with the effect the Colonial British and their rule had on cultures and humanity in the Far East. At the heart of the story lie themes such as power, dominance, love and survival. The film is undeniably inspired by "Lord of the Flies" - conveying a timeless look at young girls trapped within a fragment of a nightmare that builds to reveal their story of naiveté, fantasy, desperation, hope, and ultimately, survival.
