Alien 1975 is a fiction film inspired by true events. It's a story about black American basketball players who came to Europe and Finland in the early 1970s to strengthen local teams. Lee Brown, an extremely talented player who arrives in a small town in Eastern Finland, is the first black man to be seen in the area. He becomes a local celebrity and a lusted star, but at the same time, envy, fear and xenophobia rear their heads. Alien 1975 is a story about an encounter of cultures in the cold North and a humorous depiction of racism and changes in European identity. It is also a film about friendship and love that can transform paths of life and overcome racism.
