    • Synopsis
    • Erwin Pelzig is not only a curious, but also a very helpful character. Because of Pelzig's carelessnes, his neighbor Johann Griesmaier gets seriously injured while working in his garage. Saving Griesmaier's job is no question for Pelzig and he substitutes for him for the duration of his recovery – by proxy and in a non-bureaucratic way.
For many years, Griesmaier has been driving Eduard Bieger, the senior partner of “Bieger Shopping Trolley Corporation”. When Bieger returns from a several months of convalescence, he has to face not only the new driver but also a lot more trouble.
His daughter Melanie fell in love with the management consultant Kienze. She wants Bieger to retire, so that she can run the company her way, as Kienze proposes. Son Bertram is fed up with his almighty and careless father. He sells his shares to be free and to go his own way. This is why the family looses its majority of shares and opens the floodgates to a group of investors, secretly helped by Melanie's friend Kienze.
Bieger's days as CEO of his company are numbered now. The investors could execute their plans to shut down the main factory and transfer everything to Mongolia. But nobody has counted on Pelzig. He had been witnessing all the latest developments from his driver's seat and starts a special rescue operation. He is acting in good faith, but is lacking the knowledge about this strange world of big business. Fortunately, he becomes friends with Bieger's high-class courtesan Chantal, a former corporate lawyer, who lost her concession because of some irregularities.
Together they come up with a plan to regain the share majority, keep Bieger in charge of the company in order to save his neighbor Griesmair's job. Pelzig meanwhile understands the cynical reality of the market: To raise the stock price, it is enough to spread the rumor about the reduction of jobs. Only a lateral thinker like Pelzig is able to reverse this in order to lower the stock price, so they are able to buy back the majority in favor of Bieger.
Chantal kept most of her big time money clients when she became a luxury call girl which makes it easy for Pelzig and her to spread a new rumor about the Bieger AG: Old Bieger discovers his social conscience and responsibility for his country, so he wants to invest significantly in German locations – including to building of a new factory – with guaranteed jobs specially for difficult to place, long-term unemployed people over 50. The plan is a complete success: Panicking small investors get rid of their shares. The price drops, so the repurchase of the stock is now affordable.
