- Synopsis
- Cynical young woman Mara doesn't like the way her life has turned out. Her father is a television psychic medium who teaches her how to make believe she can speak to their dead loves ones and Mara enjoys using it for laughs and profit. But when she meets Garrett, whose wife Louise has been missing for over 20 years and presumed dead, Mara believes it's a good source of money until she accidentally runs into the very alive Louise, who hopes to stay "dead" in the minds of her husband and son. Instead of telling Garrett that his wife has been found, Mara instead uses the woman's desire to remain "dead" as a way to continue her deception by requiring her to give her details of her former life with Garrett and fool him into thinking that Mara is speaking to her from "after life."
