August 1941: Italy is at war in Africa. Cosimo, a first class biplane pilot, is forced to make a daring crash landing directly into the arms of British Luitenant Guy Swanell. During his time in captivity, Cosimo’s personality, charisma and intelligence, not to mention bravery, in saving a guard’s life when threatened by a crocodile, do not go unnoticed by the beautiful Amelia, an American who’s showing Guy hospitality. After a period of confinement, Cosimo is able to escape with the help of the American girl; together they make their getaway, though the dangerous and untamed wilderness of the Ethiopian outback. Guy begins the hunt. Overcoming innumerable obstacles through praries, deserts and mountains, the two outlaws have time to love and learn about one another. On the last train, with freedom only inches away, they are intercepted, but while Cosimo is able to get away, Amelia is stopped by Guy, who forgives her. Just as Guy and Amelia are about to wed, Cosimo, returns to the camp with a biplane, to claim his beloved Amelia.
