    • Synopsis
    • The story takes place in a fictional land… in an old church, not far from a god-forsaken industrial town enclosed by the vast emptiness of the mountains surrounding it.

Adam, our protagonist studies in the church seminary with the aim of being ordained. His purpose lies in becoming not just a priest, but a prophet. He leads a righteous life, convinced that innocence leads to piety - with furious zeal he studies the scriptures.

This dedication doesn’t go unnoticed by the bishop. Our hero is promoted to the title of priest, and invited to partake in the church’s ceremonies as the bishop’s assistant. However, the calling the protagonist has chosen for himself – that of a guide between man and god – rejects him.

All his efforts are in vain: those that turn to him for guidance are lost, his prayers cannot heal the shallowest of wounds, and even newborns refuse communion from his hand. All this whilst witnessing the heresy other priests participate in on a daily basis.

He spirals into despair through this dismissal by god. The bishop discharges our troubled hero from church duties.

The desperate hero seeks council of an elder - a man with an ineffable gift and wisdom as rumoured by the parish, yet nothing but a heretic as described by the clergy. The guidance given – seek your own path toward god, whatever it may be, instead of following one that is laid down by the church – and
      nothing more.
