In an asphalt-coloured world, more and more cars hurtle through a village, more or less nose to tail. Granny and Gramps live quiet lives, weathered by exhaust fumes, Granny on one side of the road and Gramps on the other. They’d like to meet up once in a while, but with the traffic racing by almost non-stop, they barely even manage to catch a glimpse of each other in the gaps between one vehicle and the next. Gramps has a cow. The water she drinks tastes of asphalt. The air she breathes is filled with exhaust fumes. She grows and grows. She’s colossal. And she’s the one who, together with Granny’s hen, is going to transform the tiny community’s fate.
