    • How do two young boys living with a progressive genetic disease learn to live? How do their parents face the truth and teach them? A Space in Time explores these questions, and more.

      The narrative backbone is the house’s adaptation to their growing needs, carrying us through an up-close and frank portrait of a family thriving through the ups and downs of their children. Theo and Oskar’s gradual transition from walking to greater wheelchair dependency is seen both through their eyes and their parents’.

      Disability is often misrepresented, its depiction eliciting sympathy, a sense of tragedy, or worse still, pity, which helps neither someone living with disability nor someone living without it.

      A Space in Time focuses on individuals leading a rich and varied life, their disability only one aspect of themselves.
