Osvaldo is a municipal official in a small town and his passion is singing goldfinches. His wife Betty is a housewife and splits her free time between the orphanage and the church. The quiet routine of the marriage is occasionally broken by a topic that is never discussed: the children they couldn’t have. When Betty meets Francisco, a new inmate recently arrived at the orphanage, with unknown past, Osvaldo is shocked by the love the boy awakens in her wife and proposes her to adopt the boy. At this point intrigues begin to weave and some secrets of the couple, the teacher and the child are revealed, in a drama full of suspense.
