Description
Nancy Gerstman and Emily Russo are co-founders and co-presidents of the New York-based distribution company Zeitgeist Films. Formed in 1988, Zeitgeist acquires and distributes independent films from the U.S. and around the world. Gerstman and Russo have distributed first films by notable directors Todd Haynes, Christopher Nolan, Francois Ozon, the Quay Brothers, Bruce Weber, and Gianni Di Gregorio; their catalogue also includes films from the world's finest independent filmmakers.
Objective
In a partnership with Kino Lorber since 2017 Zeitgeist Films handles 5 titles a year for theatrical release while Kino Lorber handles the ancillary rights.
