ABOUT WANGO FILMS Formed in 2005 by Tim Doiron and April Mullen with offices in Los Angeles and Toronto, Wango Films is a full-service production company, founded on a blend of grassroots innovation and bold creativity. Producing partner James van der Woerd joined the team in 2011. The company is focused on elevated genre films with compelling characters from unique voices.
Objective
WANGO is packaging numerous projects for its 2025 slate, including the rom-com GRACE PERIOD, UNLEASHED a true crime thriller about a woman who breaks a man out of prison in a dog crate. A sci-fi rom-com about a cute AI named CHiP. And the dystopian thriller, THE LAST EXILE. Currently in post on LITTLE LORRAINE, an Atlantic crime thriller based on the story of a small fishing village that unwillingly becomes the main port of entry for illegal drugs starring Stephen Amell, Sean Astin and J Balvin.
