Description
Vannel Productions is an audiovisual production company dedicated to the production of fiction films and venturing into documentaries, based in Caracas, Venezuela led by filmmaker Joanna Nelson. The company successfully produced and distributed social drama HARINA (2018) to +60 festivals, which was later acquired by HBO.
Objective
Currently seeking world sales for fiction feature HUNGER (2024), contemporary drama and intimate portrayal of the Venezuelan migration crisis. Looking for coproducers for REFUGEE ROAD (2025), documentary at early development stage on gender violence suffered by migrant women, SELINA (2026) erotic thriller set amid the corrupt petroleum exports, and more. Also developing an original limited drama series to be set in contemporary Venezuela titled RASPACUPOS (2026).
