THE NORWEGIAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (HAUGESUND)
Description
The Norwegian International Film Festival is scheduled mid-late August every year and is situated in Haugesund on the west coast of Norway. The festival is the largest industry film festival in Norway. The festival hosts New Nordic Films, a Nordic film market and an international co-production and film finance market. New Nordic Films is annually attended by 350 international film professionals from over 30 different nations, making the event the key market and meeting place for Nordic films.
Objective
We are currently programming the 51st Norwegian International Film Festival taking place in Haugesund from 19 - 25 August. Our festival is devoted to feature films for theatrical release. Titles are selected on artistic merit. The festival cooperates closely with Norwegian distributors in selecting films for the festival, and with Nordic film bodies/sales agents for screenings at New Nordic Films. Nordic Co-Production and Finance Market has an open call for projects with a deadline June 11th.
