Description

The Content Providers was formed by four-time BAFTA nominated and award-winning producer Rebecca Knapp to produce a slate of film, television and documentary projects. The Company started with development money from Screen East (The UK Film Council). They then went on to produce the feature film, Popcorn, which has been sold to over a dozen countries.

Objective

Current projects in development include: The sci-fi thriller Prisoners Dilemma with Mark Anthony Galluzzo (writer/director) and Steve Chatterton (writer) which was short-listed by ACE Association to represent them at the Independent Feature Project’s No Borders Market. The project has just been selected by Production Value 2014 as one of six projects to be budgeted and scheduled by their participants. The art-house romance Unconditional (written by Edward Windus and the award winning director Irina Izmestieva whose short film Picture Perfect – which Rebecca produced – has just won Best Director at Kharkov Lilac, winner of the Venice Events Academy Award for Best short Film, winner of Best Short film at the Cyprus International Film Festival and nominated for Best Film at the Suffolk Film Festival. The project is partially financed and is currently packaging. The thriller At the Break of Day (written by Edward Windus) that was accepted on two European Media courses; namely Sources 2 and Mediterranean Film Institute Script 2, as well as the thriller Skinny Love also written by Edward Windus, The horror/thriller Drillers with the writer/director James Henry with whom she made the multi award winning short That Old One starring Kevin McKidd which played at over 50 international film festivals. The comedy drama Dirty Little Secrets with the writer/director Mark Anthony Galluzzo that is partially financed and is currently packaging. The feature documentary DIY Sperm Donor which Rebecca and the director Peter Fraser successfully pitch for development funding from the Wellcome Trust to public audience and industry panel at the Sheffield Film Festival, they have since shot a promo with the multi-award winning Director of Photographer Philip Robertson and then were selected by Hot Docs to pitch to the industry for production finance. They also have the double Oscar winning (When We Were Kings and Born into Brothels) Vikram Jayanti as our Executive Producer.
