THE BENTONVILLE FILM FESTIVAL
Description
Bentonville Film Festival (BFF), chaired by Academy Award® winner Geena Davis, is an annual event that focuses on championing women and diverse voices. Since the inaugural 2015 festival, BFF has grown into a year-long platform through BFFoundation with screenings, events and filmmaker support taking place throughout the year.The 8th Annual Festival will take place online from June 22 – July 3, 2022 and in-person in the festival host state of Arkansas from June 22 – June 26, 2022.
Objective
BFF is focused on promoting underrepresented voices of inclusive storytellers. We amplify stories by and about people who identify as female, non-binary, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and people with disabilities in entertainment and media. We do this through research, education, and supporting the production and distribution of inclusive content with our primary research partner, the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media.
