Description

In 2002, Sombrero produced Julie Lopes-Curval’s first feature film, "Seaside" (earning a Caméra d’Or award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2002), followed by Eléonore Faucher’s "A Common Thread" which snagged the Grand Prix de la Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival in 2004. In 2006 Sombrero produced "You & Me", Julie Lopes-Curval feature-length comedy with Julie Depardieu and Marion Cotillard, and "Blindfolded", Thomas Lilti’s film noir with Jonathan Zaccaï and Guillaume Depardieu (released on January 2008). In 2007, Sombrero created the “Studio Mad" label, a collection of teenager horror films of which "Mutants", directed by David Morley, is the first opus. "High Lane", the 2nd feature length film from this label, directed by Abel Ferry and distributed by Gaumont was released on French screens on 2009. The next Studio Mad Film, "Caged" by Yann Gozlan was released on October 2010. Parallel to this, Sombrero following the auteur Films path with a more private universe.
