Description
Signum Productions was floated by Poonam Deol in 2017. Their first film 'Aamis' (The Shape of Flesh) had its world premiere at the Tribeca International Film Festival in New York in April 2019. The Indian premier was at MAMI. It traveled to various film festivals, won awards, and had a limited theatrical release in India. Aamis is now available internationally with the OTT platform- Sony LIV.
Objective
'Shareer'(The Shape of Flesh), completed in 2022, is Poonam Deol’s first film as a writer/director. She is a self-taught filmmaker. She is a History(Hons.) graduate from St.Stephens college, Delhi University. She holds a Master of Philosophy in the history of ‘Gender and Sexuality,’ from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
