Description
Jack Tarling founded Shudder Films in 2009, which has produced two feature films, ‘God’s Own Country’, financed by the BFI and written and directed by Francis Lee, and ‘Await Further Instructions’, a mystery-sci-fi-horror directed by Johnny Kevorkian and starring David Bradley (Game of Thrones, The Strain). Shudder Films previously co-produced crime comedy ‘Hackney’s Finest’, and Jack co-produced ‘VS.’ By Ed Lilly for BBC Films.‘God’s Own Country’ won Best Director in the World Dramatic Competition at Sundance 2017, it then won the Manner Magazine Jury Prize at Berlin, and it won the Michael Powell award for Best British Feature at Edinburgh. ‘God’s Own Country’ was released by Picturehouse Entertainment on September 1st 2017 in the UK, remaining in UK cinemas for over 10 weeks. Following the release, ‘God’s Own Country’ won 4 BIFAs including best film, and was BAFTA nominated for Outstanding British Film.
