Description
Saregama, the erstwhile HMV India, has been in the entertainment business for 114 years - it is the oldest music label of India with the biggest music repertoire across all genres and languages and is also a leader producer of fiction content for Indian TV channels. Yoodlee Films is the studio arm of Saregama. Our first feature film 'Ajji' had its world premiere at Busan this year, followed by Mumbai International Film Festival (MAMI), Black Nights (Tallinn) and Singapore Int Film Festival.
Objective
Saregama is now armed with a mandate to take the lead in enabling a large wave of independent films to emerge from India in the years to come. Stories in English, Hindi, as well as regional languages, told by an unfettered authorial voice from the filmmaker, and supported by a no compromise approach to film producing. We seek to connect with Film Festival Programmers as we try and find a new direction for Indian Independent Cinema.
