Description

REGAL ENTERTAINMENT, INC. stands as one of the longest film and entertainment corporation in the Philippines today. Founded as Regal Films in 1962 by Remy and Lily Monteverde, the company began as a distributor and importer of foreign movies starting with All Mine To Give and eventually bringing to the country Japanese cult movies such as the franchise of Ultraman and Godzilla. It was in 1976 that Regal Films produced its first local production with the film Kayod sa Umaga, Kayod sa Gabi ( Work Hard in the Morning, Work Hard in the Evening) directed by Luciano B. Carlos.Since then, Regal Films (incorporated in 1996 to become Regal Entertainment, Inc.) has produced over one thousand films to comprise its library.
