Description
Rakan Mayasi is an independent filmmaker (producer, writer, director) from Palestine, born in Germany and currently based in Lebanon. He belongs to the Palestinians in Diaspora. He studied Cinema in Lebanon and then received film training with Abbas Kiarostami at the Asian Film Academy. He has written and directed several short films - his previous Bonboné tackles the phenomenon of Palestinian sperm smuggling.
Objective
Feature film project in development entitled THE PASSPORT (De facto) - looking for funders and co-producers. Information on demand. Logline: A mysterious man from Gaza, on his way to Canada, dies on the layover plane to Belgrade, and nobody knows what to do with his corpse as the borders with Gaza have all shut down. But who is this man anyway and what was he traveling for?
