Description

The Netherlands Film Fund is the national cultural fund for the professional, independent film sector in the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. It provides financial support for the development, production and distribution of film productions and film-related activities. Its focus is to develop and strengthen Dutch cinema and film culture both domestically and internationally. The Film Fund also oversees the activities of the Netherlands Film Commission.

Objective

The annual budget available for funding is approximately 96 million euro of which 27.5 million euro is earmarked for the Film Production Incentive, 12 million euro for the Production Incentive High end series and 4 million euro for selective schemes targetting Dutch minority co-productions. Through the Film Production Incentive the Fund focusses on attracting international coproductions to the Netherlands offering a cash rebate up to 35% on eligible Dutch production spend.
