Description
Lakshmi Films, Inc. was established in Los Angeles, CA, in 2005. It's principals are Babu Subramaniam - DGA and Lorie Marsh. It's primarily focused on developing and producing scripted english language content for the international market-place based on and inspired by true stories with a south asian hook. In that regard, it has established a private equity fund for a slate of three films each budgeted under Three Million U.S. Dollars and has currently negotiated foreign pre-sale deals at the recently concluded American Film Market. It's currently in pre-production on SMUGGLING FOR GANDHI to begin filming in May, 2012, in Los Angeles, CA.
