Description
La Gacela Ciega is a company I opened in 2017 for film projects. It has produced a short film, MANI CURA, which participated in several festivals, a long feature, Los Nombres de las flores, which is the festival circuit, and there are two more projects on line, The Mustache, a short film, and Don Yoni, a documentary about a visual artist with a disability.
Objective
The objective with MANI CURA is to make a miniseries with 8 or 10 chapters. It deals with immigration problems, gender and class issues. In each chapter Tere, the manicurist, visits a new client, showing a different story, with a new setting, and a different nail color that represents the particular situation. The objective with The names of the flowers is to find a distributor.
