Description
Founded in 1907, Japan Society in NYC is committed to deepening mutual understanding between the US and Japan in a global context through innovative programs in arts and culture, public policy, and education. Through its Film dept., Japan Society features retrospectives of seminal directors, thematic series, and screenings of international, US and NY premieres. Since 2007, it organizes North America’s largest festival of contemporary Japanese cinema, JAPAN CUTS: Festival of New Japanese Film.
