ISTANBUL FILM FESTIVAL
Description
The largest and most established film event in Türkiye, the Festival features an international Main Competition, a competitive local showcase, and an international shorts competition. The festival's industry platform Meetings on the Bridge features Film Development and Work in Progress workshops, and the German-Turkish Coproduction Fund. Istanbul Film Festival will celebrate its 44th edition in 11-22 April 2025.
Objective
To encourage the development of cinema in Türkiye and promote the commercial distribution of films of quality in the Turkish market; To encourage the realisation of highly qualified art films, to support the development thereof; to make sure that the qualified products of the cinema of Türkiye reach viewers; to provide for these films to be screened for international film professionals.
