EUROPEAN WOMEN'S AUDIOVISUAL NETWORK (EWA)

Description

The European Women's Audiovisual network (EWA) is a non-profit NGO, which is open to professional women working in the audiovisual sectors throughout Europe.By supporting female audiovisual sector professionals and organising networking events between them, EWA network wants to encourage the creation of new projects (transmedia, film co-productions etc.) and new audiovisual content, and to foster a strong and supportive female community of European audiovisual professionals, which can together strive to nurture and promote female talent thereby ensuring greater diversity of representation in audiovisual content. Objective

Promote greater gender equality for audiovisual creatives in terms of access to and opportunities for employment, be they working in the areas of film, video games or online audiovisual content creation, to ensure that women’s creative voices are heard in all their linguistic and cultural diversity throughout Europe and beyond. We are also fundraising to ensure the network can help its members and the areas of work include training and coaching, research, communication sharing, awareness raising and project development.
