Description
Film producer and former BBC filmmaker Anna Teeman founded the production companies End Street UK, with celebrated Zimbabwean fine artist Kudzanai Chiurai in 2008, and End Street Africa with South African director Mpumelelo Mcata in 2018. End Street UK produced the Mpumelelo Mcata directed & Berlinale world premiered "Black President” and End Street Africa produced the Mpumelelo Mcata co-directed & Berlinale world premiered "Film Festival Film” and is now making "An African Thrillogy".
Objective
"An African Thrillogy” is a trilogy of thrillers from Mpumelelo Mcata. In “Blackstar” a nameless man is trapped in an unraveling African state. In “Somebody Has Got To Do It” he escapes and is welcomed into a German village, his arrival coinciding with a spate of horrific murders. Guilty or not, in “White City” he seeks the quiet life as a BBC UK mailroom man. But then falls for rising BBC star Yima, the mixed race daughter of a South African struggle hero, desperate to find her father.
