Eetriüksus Ltd. (formerly RUUT), a 100% Estonian-owned independent made its first feature film in 2003. The company's latest production, historical action drama “December Heat”, premiered in October 2008 and became a domestic box office hit. Other major films include “Made in Estonia”, which was elected one of Europe’s top ten films by Variety in Karlovy Vary; “Fed up!” (2006), co-produced by Estonia and Germany, which received awards at several festivals; TV-feature “The Agony of Hunt”; short feature “Zen through Garbage”, which was again selected to Karlovy Vary; and TV feature “Kinnunen”, which was commissioned after its screenplay won a competition. Finding co-producers and financiers to the company's next feature film "Money First"-- a con comedy about two self-made businessmen-- a stereotypical opportunist and his ingenious but socially challenged partner-- trying to pull off their biggest job in Estonia of the early 1990s-- characterized by the chaos following the collapse of the Soviet Union and the economical anarchy of the newborn republic where everyone just wants to become rich.
