Description

Alby James is an independent producer, director, writer and development executive. He has a slate of projects in development, some of which are for international co-production. He is also a trainer for lead creatives in the industry and runs script labs. Recently he led a new course for the NFTS in London called the Diverse Directors Workshop. Objective

Seeking co-producing partners and financing for: 1: Taking Sides, a melodrama about Summer, a black, puff-piece journalist who's forced to become a real jornalist to save him when an angry black woman accuses her godfather, a succesful black movie actor, of rape. 2. The Dark. This is a thriller set at the end of Idi Ami's reign in Uganda where a loving mother kidnaps her 4-year-old boy from her ex-husband and attempts to cross the border overland by bus before he catches them.
