Coqueirão Pictures is a production company based in Rio de Janeiro. Among its main productions are CINEMA NOVO (Best Documentary Cannes Film Festival 2016), UNDER THE SKIN (Official Selection IDFA 2020 and SXSW 2021) and MUNDO NOVO (Best Actress and Screenplay Rio Film Festival 2021). The next releases are the fiction LEO’S PARTY (Rio and São Paulo Film Festival 2023; Festin 2024) and the documentary THE WATER EYED BOY, directed by Lírio Ferreira and Carolina Sá, about musician Hermeto Pascoal.
