Description
Cinéma Defacto is a Paris-based, author-driven production company at human scale. Our catalog includes 42 titles, out of which 20 were shown in Cannes or Belin. Films such as Los Perros (Cannes Critics week 2017), After the War (Un Certain Regard 2017), The Harvesters (Un Certain Regard 2018), As happy as possible (Festival de Cannes 2019, Selection ACID). This year we produced Olga by Elie Grappe (Critic's weeks 2021), and coproduced Costa Brava, Lebanon by Mounia Akl (Venice Orrizonti Extra)
Objective
Focusing on international productions as a lead producer and as a coproducer, the ambition of the company is to reach a wide market with crossover titles and to forge links with major independent players abroad.
